MakerBot’s PrintShop App Now Turns 2D into 3D

The Update of MakerBot’s iPad app PrintShop offers a new feature called Shape Maker, that turns 2D drawings, sketches and photos into 3D printable files.

With the snap of a photo and a touch of a finger, Shape Maker allows users to easily and quickly transform sketches, photos and screen captures into a 3D model to then print on the Replicator. The easy to use and intuitive app is designed for beginners who want to get started quickly with 3D printing.

Version 1.5 of MakerBot PrintShop for the iPad is available for free download in the iTunes App Store.
