Meltio and Fastech partner for advanced metal 3D printing in the USA

Meltio, a manufacturer of breakthrough laser material deposition technologies, today announced that Fastech Inc, a Virginia-based manufacturing solutions provider with expertise in WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing), CNC and reverse engineering, has joined Meltio’s network of manufacturers in the United States.

This partnership underscores Meltio’s commitment to helping industries revolutionize their manufacturing and repair processes for metal parts using materials such as stainless steel, nickel and titanium. The alliance strengthens Meltio’s presence in the United States.

Fastech, an additive and subtractive manufacturing services company, has recognized the unique benefits of Meltio’s wire laser metal printing technology and has integrated this innovative technology into its portfolio by acquiring a Meltio system.

The Meltio Engine Robot Integration provides an ideal platform for large-format 3D printing, repairs, coatings and adding features. It also enables the creation of highly complex parts with machine tolerances in the same process.

Mr. Pearce continued: “The ability to undertake a build volume for components up to 6 ft cubed, using wire and laser can be beneficial in the manufacturing thin, more detailed features seamlessly whilst maintaining excellent mechanical properties. Meltio’s cutting-edge multi-metal 3D printing technology precisely stacks welding wire in a laser-generated molten pool. This process uses commercially available welding wire as the cleanest, safest and most cost-effective metallic raw material. The Meltio Engine integrates seamlessly with robotic and CNC equipment and opens up new possibilities in metal additive manufacturing for a wide range of industries and applications.
