SCRY and HELIOT EMIL cooperate for 3D-printed shoes

The Californian company SCRY, which specializes in 3D-printed shoes, collaborated with the avant-garde fashion brand HELIOT EMIL for a joint collection at Paris Fashion Week. The centerpiece is a futuristic boot made entirely using 3D printing.

According to SCRY, the overknee boot is made of polyurethane and was produced in a resource-saving and efficient way using additive manufacturing. Complex design elements such as an opening on the inside and a curved bridge structure, which would be difficult to realize using conventional methods, were made possible.

For HELIOT EMIL, the design embodies an intergalactic vision of fashion that harmonizes perfectly with SCRY’s advanced methods. The collaboration impressively demonstrates the potential of 3D printing for the fashion industry – in terms of efficiency, sustainability and novel design possibilities.
