Sicnova, the leading distributor of professional 3D printing and 3D scanning technology on the Iberian Peninsula and in Latin America, has signed a distribution agreement with AMT PostPro. The Spanish company will include the specialist’s systems for the post-processing of 3D-printed components in its product portfolio.
The focus is on AMT PostPro’s steam smoothers for surface finishing. The SoftPro SFX, SF50 and SF100 series enable a significant improvement in surface quality and material properties thanks to a patented steam smoothing process. The roughness can be reduced by up to 420% in just 90-120 minutes, while the mechanical properties are increased by up to three times. Environmentally friendly solvents ensure that applicable health and safety standards are met.
According to Sicnova, users of MJF and SLS technologies in particular benefit from the post-processing systems, as these give the printed components the material properties and UV resistance required for many areas of application. For example, for use in medical technology or the consumer goods industry.
The integration of AMT PostPro solutions is an important step for Sicnova to expand the product offering for its customers in Spain and Portugal with powerful post-processing options and to increase production efficiency.
