SWISSto12 featured in the annual list of the “10 hottest satellite companies”

SWISSto12, one of the fastest growing manufacturers of satellite and radio frequency products in Europe, has been included in Via Satellite’s annual list of the “10 Hottest Satellite Companies”. The company relies on 3D printing technology for production.

Via Satellite’s annual list highlights companies that are leaders in ground systems, manufacturing, imaging and sensing, satellite communications and launch services. Companies are selected by Via Satellite’s editors based on criteria such as transformative technology, customer business, market share and overall industry momentum.

SWISSto12 has particularly distinguished itself by developing next-generation components, subsystems and payloads for the satellite communications industry. One example of this is the HummingSat, a small but powerful geostationary telecommunications satellite whose customers include renowned companies such as Intelsat and Inmarsat (acquired by Viasat in 2023).

The year 2023 marked a year of remarkable growth for SWISSto12, including a contract to supply three HummingSat satellites to Inmarsat (Viasat) and securing orders worth over 200 million euros in satellites, radio frequency components and subsystems.

Emile de Rijk, CEO of SWISSto12 said: “We are delighted to receive this recognition from Via Satellite. Being named as one of the ‘10 Hottest Satellite Companies’ is testament to our talented team, innovative technology and our commitment to better protecting and connecting the world through innovative SatCom solutions.”

This award confirms SWISSto12’s role as an innovation leader in the satellite communications industry and underlines the importance of advanced satellite technologies for global communications and security.
