Tekna secures plasma systems orders worth CAD 3 million

The Canadian company Tekna, a global leader in high-tech materials, has received orders for four plasma systems with a total value of CAD 3 million. Tekna’s plasma systems are considered state-of-the-art for advanced materials research and cover the needs of many industries and research institutions.

“We are once again underlining our market-leading role as the first supplier of state-of-the-art plasma systems in industry and science. Our systems product range forms the foundation on which we will continue to develop the company and expand the production of innovative materials,” explains Luc Dionne, CEO of Tekna.

According to Dionne, three orders came from North American customers and one from Asia. Of particular note is the order for the PlasmaSonic ICPT-15 – a low-cost laboratory system for material testing and hypersonic development – which was sold for the first time. This will be used by a US university in the future. Two further systems will support research into powder metallurgy at universities. The fourth order comprises the upgrade of an existing system for a Canadian customer.

The four orders have been booked as incoming orders for the fourth quarter of 2023. Tekna is confident that it can continue to meet market demand for state-of-the-art equipment for materials research.
