German companies are supporting the Ukrainian armed forces with state-of-the-art drone technology: several units of the “Titan Falcon” model were recently delivered to the army. These are reconnaissance drones specially developed for wartime conditions and manufactured entirely using 3D printing.
The donation was initiated by a Ukrainian-American NGO together with Donaustahl GmbH. The latter is responsible for the production of the unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to manufacturer Titan Dynamics, the Titan Falcon has a flight time of up to six hours and a maximum range of 400 kilometers. An FPV camera is integrated for real-time monitoring; a professional 2.5-inch lens can also be installed on request.
The clear advantage of the system lies in the high efficiency and flexibility offered by 3D printing. The drones can be produced comparatively cheaply and in large quantities on site. The Titan Falcon is already being put through its paces in the war zone, as pictures on social media show.
On behalf of an American-Ukrainian NGO, the German company Donaustahl GmbH (@DonaustahlGmbH) is manufacturing Titan Falcon 3D printable long-range UAVs and supplies them to the Ukrainian armed forces.
