3D Printer Manufacturer Skriware Launches Online Marketplace “Skrimarket”

Following their successful Kickstarter campaign for the Skriware 3D printer at the beginning of this year, the Swedish startup has launched a corresponding online store called Skrimarket.

Skrimarket allows users to browse through a collection of 3D printable designs. Using the “one-click printing” feature the models are adjusted to be instantly printed on the Skriware 3D printer, with no additional settings or adjustments to be made. The data is transferred to the printer through WiFi.

“Thanks to our campaign on Kickstarter we were able to roll out an affordable and intuitive 3D printer,” said Skriware CEO Daniel Losinski.“Yet we know that even the best hardware is not enough for home users. We all look for simple solutions and that is why we have decided to go ahead and develop an online marketplace with ready-to-print models. In this way, we provide our clients with a combo solution that meets their expectations in terms of usability, missed so far in 3D printing technology.”

To kick off their new marketplace, Skirware has launched a 3D design contest and encourages all 3D designers to upload their creations in order to win attractive prizes, including Skriware 3D printers, as well as the chance to show their projects to a wider audience. The contest started on July 4th and will last till September 30th, 2016. Each week and month the jury will announce the winner of the week or month. Contestants can enter here.

Losinski adds: “Our contest is a great opportunity to get noticed and feature on the platform. Who knows, maybe we will even find a person who could become a Skrimarket curator and join our team for good. We encourage every 3D designer to give it a shot. A short message to all interested: be creative and upload your best models. The more you add, the higher your chances for winning.”
