3D Systems Launches ProJet MJP 2500 Series

Introducing the ProJet MJP 2500 Series, 3D Systems releases the latest addition to its MultiJet Printing line of 3D printers. It is designed to combine 3D printing at a professional level with an affordable price and office-friendly dimensions.

The new ProJet MJP 2500 Series enables professionals to create precise prototypes, models and injection-molded-quality parts at their workplace. It utilises the new MJP EasyClean System for hands-off, chemical-free finishing that eliminates damage to delicate details using the company’s non-toxic melt away wax supports. Additionally, printers come with the powerful 3DSPRINT print client software.

The series features the two models MJP 2500 and MJP 2500 Plus, both with a build volume of 295 x 211 x 142 mm, that are compatible with VisiJet M2 materials durable white and black plastic. The materials allow for 3D printing objects with smooth surface finish that look and feel like injection-moulded plastic while being functional for use. The ProJet MJP 2500 Plus offers additional material capability with rigid clear plastic as well as flexible elastomeric black and elastomeric natural, each newly developed for printing rubber-like parts that provide pliability, strength and full elastic recovery.

Haleigh Doremus, Rapid Prototyping Manager at 3D Systems beta tester Nike said: “We have been extremely impressed with the results from the ProJet MJP 2500. It complements our current technologies and processes and allows us to print complex geometries that were previously impossible on other printers in this class. The consistency of parts and hands-off post-processing it provides gives us time to accomplish more in a day, adding even more value to our team.”
