AnkerMake withdraws from multi-color module “V6 Color Engine”

AnkerMake is the 3D printer brand from the Chinese company Anker. A few months ago, the manufacturer made headlines with a Kickstarter campaign for a fast desktop 3D printer. In addition to the printer, the company also announced an add-on module that enables printing with multiple colors and materials. The so-called “V6 Color Engine” should have already been released, but AnkerMake has now announced that the module will not be released.

“V6 Color Engine” would have been Ankermake’s answer to Bambu Labs AMS (Automatic Material System), but now the module will not be released. On the Kickstarter campaign page, the AnkerMake team explained that there were problems with the development that could not be solved with the existing hardware. For this reason, they have decided not to launch the product on the market. Previous backers will get their money back with a small bonus.

The entire explanation can be viewed directly on Kickstarter. However, the post is only visible to supporters of the campaign.
