Artillery introduces the Sidewinder X4 Pro high-speed 3D printer

The Chinese company Artillery, known for its affordable consumer 3D printers, has announced a new model, the Sidewinder X4 Pro. The FDM printer is said to print at up to 500 mm/s while delivering high print quality.

According to the manufacturer, the X4 Pro features quiet Klipper control electronics with a 64-bit ARM quad-core processor, 12,000 mm/s2 acceleration and metal linear guides for the X and Y axes. The high rigidity of the system is designed to reduce vibrations and noise. The dual Z-axis design also prevents distortion at high printing speeds.

Another new feature is the fully metallic 300°C hot nozzle head, which can also print demanding materials such as nylon, ASA or PC. The dual drive, which is also fully metallic, promotes printing precision and also enables flexible materials to be printed. Wireless printing via WLAN and an 81-point auto-leveling function increase ease of use.

The print volume of the Artillery Sidewinder X4 Pro is 240 x 240 x 260 mm. It is available at an introductory price of 319 US dollars.
