German software company CADENAS has been providing a 3D CAD model app for engineers, that has become increasingly popular, according to download figures in the Goole Play and iTunes Store. Thus, CADENAS decided to offer the app for Windows 10 as mobile and desktop version.
The “3D CAD model mechanical engineering” app is targeted at engineers from the mechanical and plant as well as automotive sector and helps them to find the right 3D model in the desired format. The models are manufacturer-certified and available in 85 formats for common CAD systems like, Autodesk, SolidWorks, Creo, CTIA, AutoCAD, Inventor, Parametric, NX or Solide Edge to name a few. The PARTcommunity app is based on CADENAS’ eCATALOGsolutions technology. Features include extended product information such as pictures or AR, case studies of respective components, requests for non-binding offers or direct contact to the manufacturers.
“At the beginning of the year we looked at the vast amount of positive customer feedback that was published in the Google Play Store. Of course we do not wish to withhold this service from Windows 10 users and therefore gave them access to the 3D CAD model app“, says Jürgen Heimbach, CEO at CADENAS. “Currently we have 611,000 downloads of our app from the Google Play and iTunes Store. This year we are striving to break the one million barrier. We would like to further strengthen our proven dominant position in the field of 3D CAD model app downloads. Everyone can convince himself about the supremacy compared to other 3D CAD model app providers in the online stores. The installation figures especially prove this.“
