Dyze Design has introduced the Zephyr High Flow Extruder, a high-performance extruder for 3D printing. The extruder for 1.75mm filaments uses the company’s own MeltCore technology and achieves an impressive throughput of 685 grams per hour (154 mm³/s). This makes the Zephyr one of the fastest print heads of this filament size on the market.
The nozzles are available in sizes from 0.4 to 1.8 mm – from filigree details to high throughput. Two 70W heating elements provide precise temperature control up to 500°C for high performance polymers. PT100 sensors ensure the temperature accuracy required for many materials. A double gripper mechanism improves filament guidance and feeding accuracy for consistent extrusion quality.
Infinitely variable filament tension adjustment from 1-9 adapts to a wide range of materials, from elastic TPU to standard filaments. This means that all common FDM materials can be processed with just one extruder. The 3.1:1 reduction gear made of hardened steel combines high speed with sufficient torque.
Pre-orders for the Zephyr are now possible via Dyze, with delivery scheduled to start in July.
