The UK-based companies E3D and LittleBox have teamed up to develop the 3D printer series BigBox, which has recently been launched on Kickstarter.
There are four Open Source versions of BigBox available: Lite, Pro and Dual being 3D printers kits and Factory Assembled. All of them feature a build volume of 30 x 20 x 28 cm, auto levelling, an E3D HotEnd and can print objects with a layer thickness as fine as 50 microns. Additionally the devices are equipped with a LCD display and SD card reader but you can also connect BigBox to the web, using a Raspberry Pi and OctoPrint.

The 3D printers are available on Kickstarter, with prices for the Lite starting at £ 455 up to £ 875 for the Factory Assembled version. The campaign has already been sucessfully funded with currently £ 82,817 which is nearly three times their set goal of £ 30,000.
