HP Creates 3D Printing Unit Prior to Company’s Split

Just before the company’s split into HP Enterprise and HP Inc., current head of the PC and printer business and CEO of HP Inc. as of November 1st, Dion Weisler, announced that Stephen Nigro will head the new 3D printing division.

With their first 3D printer working with the Multi Jet Fusion technology to hit the market in 2016, HP prepares with a dedicated business unit.

Stephen Nigro currently holds the position of Senior Vice President for Imaging and Printing at HP.

Weisler in an internal memo: “When we announced our plans to separate, we knew that 3D printing would be a key area of innovation and growth for HP Inc. Our company is positioned perfectly to take advantage of our sophisticated intellectual property and know-how to transform industries and power the next industrial revolution.”
