The Chinese manufacturer has introduced Windstorm S1, a new affordable FDM 3D printer. The special feature of this newcomer is the housing made entirely of aluminum, which ensures stability and yet low weight.
With a stated printing speed of up to 500 mm/s, the Windstorm S1 aims to significantly increase productivity. The dual Z-axis design and positioning accuracies of 0.05 mm in X/Y and 0.01 mm in Z are intended to achieve high-precision printing results. According to the manufacturer, the built-in, retractable heating bed technology promises stable heat distribution for reliable printing processes.
The variety of materials with support for PLA, ABS, flexible PLA, PETG, PVA and HIPS makes the Windstorm S1 suitable for many application scenarios. The direct extrusion with double gear drive is designed to ensure precise and trouble-free material throughput.
Sceoan Tech has a compact and intuitive user interface which, according to the manufacturer, should appeal to both beginners and experienced 3D printing experts.
The basic version of the Windstorm S1 is available at a price of around 420 euros.
