3D Printing Company AMT Announces Restructuring

3D printing company Additive Manufacturing Technologies (AMT) recently announced a strategic restructuring of its business model. The move comes in response to the recent global economic downturn and decline in 3D printer sales.

The restructuring focuses on sustainable growth and profitability by streamlining the workforce and consolidating roles across the company. Joseph Crabtree, CEO of AMT, emphasized that it is critical to align the business with current market realities. Despite these challenges, AMT’s order book remains strong, and the company is forecasting revenue of £11 million to £13 million this year, with a clear path to profitability in the fourth quarter.

As part of the restructuring process, AMT’s investors have provided additional capital to support the transition to profitability and positive cash flow generation. Despite the challenges, innovation remains AMT’s focus. The company announced the continued introduction of PostPro Pure, which it claims is the most environmentally friendly consumable for processing 3D-printed parts. It also introduced the Digital Manufacturing System (DMS), the first units of which have already shipped to customers in the United States.

AMT also announced changes in its marketing strategy. The company has decided not to exhibit at face-to-face trade shows this year, but instead to support its partners at these events. This will allow AMT to focus more intensively on existing customers and concentrate its efforts.

Despite the restructuring, AMT’s core team remains in place and is still committed to providing exceptional customer support during this transition period. The company will continue to serve its customers with the level of service they have come to expect from AMT.
