AddUp, a global OEM for metal additive manufacturing, joins Dassault Systèmes‘ 3DEXPERIENCE platform ecosystem. With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, users benefit from comprehensive additive manufacturing applications, from material characterization to manufacturing monitoring.
Thanks to AddUp’s interoperability solution, AddUp NTwin, users of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform can use a virtual twin of the FormUp 350. This technology allows users to create a job file, retrieve additional construction information and perform simulations.
“Dassault Systèmes and AddUp have developed a virtual twin of the FormUp 350 machine in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform which enables the production file to be created interactively. Thanks to this virtual twin, Dassault Aviation is able to ensure digital continuity from design to manufacturing of the part in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform“ Dassault Aviation.
This partnership improves traceability and flexibility over time. Users* can access features of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and create strategies and trajectories with the AddUp Trajectory Generator.
The focus of the collaboration is Aeroprint, an ambitious R&D project driven by Dassault Aviation. This involves establishing a certified AM pilot line for the aviation industry. The goal is to accelerate the adoption of AM in the aerospace industry.
