Dutch designer Anouk Wipprecht, who is known for her 3D printed fashion creations such as the Spider Dress or the Open Source Dress, teamed up with the automotive company to design the Audi A4 collection.
At the Berlin Design Trade Show SEEK Wipprecht unveiled four 3D printed dresses, created from a nylon powder using SLS technology. By combining fashion and technology, the collection features elements of the new Audi A4 such as the diamond-shaped forms or the screen view of the virtual cockpit.
“As the design process of the Audi A4 created a new car from a silhouette, my dresses relate the history of an evolution wherein an initial concept comes alive through elements of the car,” explains Anouk Wipprecht.
