Autodesk expands its 123 portfolio by another module. Following 123D Catch, Sculpt and Make, it now features the 123D Gallery.
Autodesk’s software 123D enables user to create and process 3D models. Various modules like 123D Catch, 123D Sculpt, 123D Make and, as of now, 123D Gallery are available for free.
This software allows you to digitalise existing objects. The user can convert real objects into 3D models using an ordinary digital camera.
Launching the iPad App 123D Sculpt, Autodesk offers a powerful 3D software for the popular tablet. Thus 3-dimensional figures can be created and edited per touch on the go.
123D Make allows to virtually slice 3D models so they can be converted into real objects with e.g. Laser-Cutter.
For the purpose of exchanging 3D models Autodesk now introduces 123D Gallery. Existing models of other users can be downloaded, edited, printed in 3D and once more saved. Further your own models can be made available for other users per click.
Following video explains how a 3D model can be printed with a MakerBot printer.
