Dassault Systèmes introduces SOLIDWORKS 2024

3D CAD specialist Dassault Systèmes has unveiled the latest version of its SOLIDWORKS software. SOLIDWORKS 2024 is primarily intended to facilitate collaboration within development teams.

One of the most important new features is a function for saving model data in the format of older software versions. According to the manufacturer, this ensures compatibility with SOLIDWORKS users who have not yet upgraded to the current release.

There are also improvements to dimension chains to avoid overfilling the drawing. In addition, a cloud connection has been integrated to synchronize design data with the 3DEXPERIENCE collaboration platform from Dassault Systèmes. A special migration wizard is also designed to make it easier to move old databases.

According to Dassault Systèmes, SOLIDWORKS is being consistently developed with the user in mind in order to increase efficiency and collaboration throughout the entire product development process. The software remains easy to use and suitable for everyday use. Further innovations can be viewed directly from the provider.
