Doodle3D Transform is an easy design app that allows you to transform 2D drawings into 3D printable models.
Doodle3D Transform is currently being promoted on Kickstarter and will be available as an app but also works in browsers. It is an easy-to-use 3D modelling application developed by a Dutch startup. Their aim is to make 3D design as simple and accessible as possible, so you don’t need to be an expert or product engineer to turn your ideas into 3D printable models.
While designs can be exported to 3D Hubs, Shapeways or i.materialise for production, 3D printer owners can transfer their designs to Marlin-based 3D printers using the Doodle3D WiFi-Box.
The app’s interface is splitted into two parts. While you can see and edit your 2D drawing on the left, the right side shows the 3D view that allows you to move, scale, curve an twist your design. Once finished you can not only 3D print but also share your design with others.
While the limited early bird offers on Kickstarter are already gone, you can still get access to Doodle3D Transform by pledging € 20 or more.
