N3DE & FIRPA on 18-19 April 2018

The Finnish Rapid Prototyping Association FIRPA will hold its 20th anniversary conference at Dipoli in Espoo on 18-19 April 2018. The event will offer visitors a high-quality international programme. Day one of the conference will focus on medical applications of 3D printing and day two on industrial applications. The conference will feature speakers from countries such as Finland, the UK, Spain, Hong Kong, India, Sweden, Russia and the USA.

The first day will be chaired by Professor Antti Mäkitie, University of Helsinki, and Professor Ian Gibson, Deakin University, Australia, via video link.

On the second day of the conference, the keynote speaker will be Terry Wohlers of Wohlers Associates Inc., USA, and the programme will include presentations on HP’s 3D printing technology and Siemens’ production applications.

NORDIC3DEXPO, an international trade fair for 3D printing and 3D technologies, will be organised for the third time this year. The exhibition will take place from 18 to 19 April 2018 at the renewed Dipoli Conference Centre in Espoo, in conjunction with the FIRPA 20th anniversary conference. The target visitor groups are companies that use 3D printing and technologies as well as researchers, students and hobbyists in the 3D technology sector. In addition to Finland, there will be exhibitors from Latvia, Russia and India, for example.

The programme will include an information package on “Legislation and Responsibilities concerning 3D Printing” by the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes).

The exhibition will be open to visitors free of charge on both days but there is a registration fee for the FIRPA conference.

FIRPA’s 20th anniversary conference and NORDIC3DEXPO are part of Aalto University’s 3D Printing Days event.
