New functions in SprutCAM X 17.0.12 for more efficient milling operations

The software company SprutCAM Tech has released an update of its CAD/CAM software SprutCAM X. Version 17.0.12 brings improvements for more efficient programming of milling operations.

According to the manufacturer, the plunge parameter has been expanded: users can now define limit values for maximum feed angles and minimum cutting diameters. The simulation takes these settings into account and issues a warning if they are exceeded.

A new option for singularity avoidance ensures that the tool always maintains a fixed angle to the rotation axis, even without collisions. This avoids problems with the swivel table.

A search function has been implemented in the G-code view to make it easier to find elements in the program code. Other new features include the user interface, toolpath calculation and bug fixes in various milling operations.

According to the manufacturer, existing customers with a software maintenance contract have already received this version. It is intended to simplify production with SprutCAM X through more efficient programming and simulated machining.
