Optomec presents 3D print heads at RAPID + TCT 2023

3D printing specialist Optomec showcased its latest printing solutions at the RAPID + TCT 2023 trade show in Chicago.

Optomec will showcase its LDH 3.1 printhead for Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and its latest Aerosol Jet printhead, which offers a compact, low-maintenance solution for production applications. Optomec can be found at booth 5027.

The LDH 3.1 printhead enables superior 3D metal structures by allowing users* to remotely vary the laser spot size and power density. This optimizes the deposition in terms of print speed and metallurgical properties. The adjustment is made remotely without disrupting the inert atmosphere in the machine’s build chamber.

The Endurance printhead for Aerosol Jet machines is a compact, simplified printhead for electronics production. It is optimized for longer uptime and faster maintenance and is available with an ultrasonic atomizer for various inks. Optomec machines enable the production of extremely fine 3D electronic structures with structures as small as 10 micrometers using nanoparticle inks.
