Sintratec 3D printers reach South Africa

South African 3D printing specialist Solid Edge Technology and Sintratec have entered into a partnership. Thus, Solid Edge Technology includes the Swiss SLS 3D printers in its product range and becomes the first distributor of Sintratec systems in South Africa.

Based near Johannesburg, South Africa, Solid Edge Technology has been active in the 3D printing sector for three decades. The company specializes in design for Additive Manufacturing as well as production optimization within the 3D printing environment. To date, Solid Edge Technology has been using and distributing Multi Jet Fusion machines by HP for this purpose. Now, the South African company is expanding its product range to include SLS 3D printers by Sintratec.

Founded as a start-up in 2014, Sintratec is the first Swiss manufacturer and developer of additive manufacturing solutions in the field of selective laser sintering (SLS). This powder-based process enables the production of complex and high-quality components in a short amount of time.

Characterized by their modularity and scalability, Sintratec’s systems now also offer customers in South Africa a flexible entry into industrial 3D printing. The new partnership with Solid Edge Technology represents a significant opportunity for Sintratec to expand its sales and service network on the African continent and to shape the local market.
