Threeding Offers 3D Scanned Full-Textured Anatomical Models

3D printing marketplace Threeding.com, in cooperation with Artec Group, has further expanded its database of 3D printable models and is now offering human anatomical models for educational purposes.

Threeding expects that these scientifically accurate models will be of interest to both the general public and to medicine students. The 3D models can be downloaded from Threeding.com and printed at home using own 3D printers or can be ordered directly as physical copies in 6 materials and over 40 colors.

Threeding offers more than thirty 3D printable anatomy models which includes human scapula, hand and foot bones, pelvis, backbone, sacrum as well as parts of the brain. The models are available here. Anatomy models find wide use in the education of medical doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. Threeding is building on this ground and targeting the groups directly through its offering. Isaac Kohen, an anatomy experts remarks, “We are excited to use Threeding’s new models. Previously, we were ordering expensive models from large anatomy model suppliers but now we can use the 3D printer we have at our lab. That will save us research budget which we can use for other purposes.” Threeding is also bringing value to universities, schools and private consumers who now find a way to print high quality anatomic models on their own.

The anatomy models were created through Artec’s professional 3D scanning technology, which has already been used by Threeding in the preservation of ancient artifacts from several museums in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Museum of Military History being the latest. 

By expanding the model base into the educational business, Threeding is adding another niche segment to the ancient artifacts offered and further underlying its position of being a provider of authentic 3D printing models.
