VSHAPER 5-Axis Machine Presented at Formnext 2017

On November 14th-17th 2017, the next edition of Formnext will take place in Frankfurt. During this event, modern technological solutions, applied in various branches of industry, are presented. Some of them are going to be presented for the first time. Among such new solutions will be the 5-Axis VSHAPER 3D Printer created by VERASHAPE with the support of Polish National Research and Development Center.

VSHAPER 5-Axis Machine, developed by VERASHAPE R&D department, will transform the way people think about 3D Printing in FFF technology. Thanks to 5-axis kinematics equipped with tilting rotary working platform – one can forget about the conventional “layer upon layer” printing method. The device enables among others:

• Indexed 5-axis printing, enhancing the conventional “layer upon layer” printing method to transfer the print surface to another surface that was printed earlier.
• Simultaneous 5-axis printing that moves away from the conventional “layer upon layer” printing method for spatial models with a three-dimensional surface, by using all the machine axes simultaneously.
• Working with multiple materials in one process, making it possible to make models from hard material, reinforced with high-strength material and printed elastomeric seals.

VSHAPER 5-Axis Machine features active workspace in the shape of a cylinder with a 300 mm diameter and a 300 mm height. The device is equipped with a tool bank allowing the use of few different heads in one printing process. Thank to constant temperature inside the working chamber and heated platform, the device can process most of thermoplastic materials – says Marek Kantowski, R&D Lead Engineer from VERASHAPE.

VSHAPER 5-Axis Machine together with other solutions offered by VERASHAPE will be available to view at stand F-29 in hall 3.1.

The conceptual work on the 5-Axis Machine continues, but we have decided to present its effects so that potential customers are included in the technology development process. We invite industry representatives to actively participate in this project – we are open to any suggestions. We strive for the machine, that will become available to purchase in 2019, to meet the expectations of demanding production companies – says Tomasz Szymański, the founder and CEO of VERASHAPE.

Formnext is the leading trade fair for Additive Manufacturing and the next generation of intelligent manufacturing solutions in Europe. Every year, the event brings together a range of professionals responsible for making investment decisions in various industry sectors. More than 300 exhibitors and 13,000 visitors attended the event last year. This year’s exhibitors will be presenting their solutions in two exhibition halls (3.0 and 3.1) for the first time in the history of the event and speakers will make presentations in two lecture rooms.
