Airwolf 3D Introduces “Wolfbite Nitro” 3D Printing Adhesive for Nylon

California-based 3D printer manufacturer Airwolf 3D has just released a print bed adhesive for objects printed from Nylon and Nylon Alloy.

Wolfbite Nitro is applied directly to the build plate and prevents the object from lifting, also known as warpage. Once finished printing, the part can easily be removed from the coated bed. The adhesive can be used with any 3D printer equipped with a heated bed made out of glass or ceramic.

”For the first time, 3D printer users can directly print Nylon on glass substrates. We’re extremely proud to have developed the first solution capable of effectively bonding Nylon to glass and ceramic build surfaces,” said Erick Wolf, co-founder, Airwolf 3D. ”The result is that users will see substantial improvement in the output of their Nylon 3D printed projects when using Wolfbite NITRO™.”

wolfbite_nitro_airwolf3d_nylon_adhesive1Nylon-based materials are commonly used to 3D print high-strength, functional parts because of their mechanical characteristics and resistance to heat. However, these materials do not bond to glass and the print bed has to be most commonly coated with a PET film combined with glue. Wolfbite Nitro offers a more convenient and less messy approach, while it also allows to easily remove the print after the build plate cooled down.

As a leading manufacturer of high-temperature 3D printers that excel at producing large 3D printed parts in Nylon and Nylon-based materials, we are aware of the frustrations that users have with the bed adhesion of their Nylon parts,” said Wolf. ”After months of research and development we are pleased to offer a 3D Printing Nylon Adhesive solution that will benefit nearly all desktop 3D printer users.”

Wolfbite NITRO 3D Printing Nylon Adhesive is packaged in a two fluid ounce container and comes with a foam brush applicator. It is currently available for sale on the Airwolf 3D website at an introductory price of $19.95.
