botspot presents the latest generation of 3D scanners at the GPEC in Leipzig

botspot 3D Scan GmbH, a provider of 3D scanning technologies, will be presenting two new 3D scanners at the GPEC (General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference) in Leipzig from May 6 to 8, 2024.

Both the new botscan E-COM (object scanner) and the latest generation of the botscan NEO (full-body scanner), whose predecessors are already in service in some police authorities, have already aroused the interest of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office of Criminal Investigation, which has already purchased the first units, even before the official market launch.

The GPEC offers an ideal platform for introducing other police authorities, service providers and system integrators to the new possibilities. Both scanners are characterized by a range of innovative functions that have been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern investigation techniques.

The “digital spray” via laser projectors makes it possible to precisely capture even high-gloss and reflective surfaces, which was previously a challenge. In contrast to conventional 3D scanners, this latest generation of devices can therefore easily capture all skin types, including distinctive features such as fading scars or tattoos, which is crucial for the recognizable treatment of people.

The transparent turntable for objects enables a perfect all-round view without the need for repositioning. This leads to a doubling of the scanning speed and also enables greatly simplified scanning of deformable objects. In addition, the botspot Automation Suite allows easy operation of the scanners even by untrained personnel, while experienced professionals can customize scan parameters.

botspot’s 3D scanners are based on the process of photogrammetry and produce photorealistic 3D models with the highest level of detail. The maximum scanning speed significantly reduces working time and effort per model, making this pioneering scanning technology an indispensable tool in modern police technology.

The Company invites all interested parties to convince themselves of the performance of the “E-COM” and the “NEO” at the GPEC in Leipzig. You can find the botspot 3D Scan GmbH stand in Hall 2, E90.
