i.materialise Adds New Colour Option for Rubber-Like Material

In addition to their existing dyed black option for the flexible rubber-like material, customers of i.materialise’s 3D printing service can now also order prints in natural white.

Models printed in rubber-like are constructed from a very fine, granular white powder. The result is a strong, highly flexible, and durable material that can be dyed black afterwards. The material is abrasion-resistant and has a sandy, granular look.

i.materialise uses the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printing process to create the objects, which can be ordered up to a size of 32 cm x 27 cm x 30 cm.

The flexibility can be best described through the pictures of a 3D print below. As you can see, 3D prints in this material can be squeezed without breaking:
