Koenigsegg and 3DPrinterOS enter Partnership

Koenigsegg Automotive, the Swedish manufacturer of high-performance sports cars, has made significant progress in managing its extensive printer portfolio and production processes by integrating the cloud-based 3DPrinterOS platform.

Tim Bäck, team leader for CNC and 3D printing prototyping at Koenigsegg, has been a key part of the company for nearly nine years. His focus is on carbon fiber body work, such as that used on the Agera RS. Kristian Ljungkvist, who has been with the company for five years, is the 3D printing expert and plays a key role in optimizing 3D printing workflows.

In the last 2.5 years, the number of 3D printers at Koenigsegg has grown to an impressive 17, including 11 FDM printers and a number of resin-based printers. The strength of 3DPrinterOS lies in its versatility, which allows engineers to seamlessly switch between different types of printers. This allows the most appropriate technology to be selected for each specific task, improving both efficiency and quality of results.

3DPrinterOS offers significant efficiency benefits through centralized management. Real-time monitoring minimizes manual administration and allows print jobs to be monitored in real time and any problems to be resolved quickly. This leads to an increase in productivity and therefore profitability.

Working with 3DPrinterOS has enabled Koenigsegg to optimize its 3D printing activities in an unprecedented way. The focused expertise of Tim Bäck and Kristian Ljungkvist has enabled tremendous efficiency gains and acceleration of the development cycle. The technological partnership sets a new benchmark in the use of 3D printing technologies in the automotive industry.
