In addition to the 14K option, i.materialise’s customers have now the option the get their custom designed jewellery 3D printed in 18K gold as well.
Yellow, red and white gold are now available in both, 14K and 18K gold. A slight color difference between the two is caused by the amount of gold that is used – 14K gold contains 58.5% pure gold whereas 18K gold contains 75%. This also results in a weight difference.
Minimum wall thickness is 0.05 mm, minimum details are 0.3 mm and the maximum size 88 x 63 x 125 mm. All objects are created using the lost wax casting technology.
