Mechnano PK ESD nominated for TCT Materials Award

Mechnano, a manufacturer of additive manufacturing materials, is about to receive significant recognition for its work: a nomination for the prestigious TCT Materials Award with the PK ESD material. The PK ESD material marks a milestone in material innovation, combining Mechnano’s proprietary D’Func technology with the PK 5000 engineering powder developed by Jabil.

This combination ensures consistent electrostatic discharge (ESD) properties in laser sintered components and positions PK ESD as the leader in this segment.

PK ESD material is characterized by maintaining the excellent properties of Jabil PK 5000, including superior impact strength, exceptional chemical and abrasion resistance, and improved elongation at break compared to standard polyamides (PA11 and PA12). In addition, the environmentally friendly PK 5000 resin used in PK ESD helps reduce the carbon footprint, making it a sustainable choice.

“We are honored to be nominated for the TCT Materials Award, recognizing the transformative innovation behind our PK ESD solution,” said Olga “Dr. O” Ivanova, Director of Applications & Technology at Mechnano. “Mechnano remains committed to pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing and delivering materials that set new industry standards.”

The TCT Materials Award recognizes advances in materials for additive manufacturing and acknowledges the critical role of innovation in moving the industry forward. Mechnano is proud to be at the forefront of this innovation, supplying materials that enable manufacturers to achieve new levels of performance and efficiency.
