PPprint: P-Filament 721 natural certified for direct skin contact according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5

PPprint announced that Hohenstein Laboratories GmbH & Co. KG has again certified their ‘P-filament 721 natural’ as biologically safe according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5. This certification enables the production of 3D printed products that are suitable for direct skin contact. This opens up many possible applications in a wide range of industries.

The ‘P-filament 721 natural’ is not only suitable for medical technology applications, especially in orthotics and prosthetics, due to its excellent chemical and mechanical properties, but also allows these products to be used in direct skin contact with patients.

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most important plastic materials, combining excellent recyclability with advantageous properties in terms of mechanics, chemical resistance and biocompatibility. In additive manufacturing and especially in extrusion-based 3D printing, PP is therefore increasingly used in a wide range of industries. PPprint focuses on 3D printing of polypropylene and offers a unique product portfolio for professional 3D printing and industrial applications.

PPprint is a specialist for 3D printing of polypropylene (PP) and offers its customers with its products and services everything they need for the implementation of 3D printing of PP in their development and production processes in their individual situation.
