amsight, a start-up in the field of data-driven software solutions for additive manufacturing (AM), was recently named one of the winners of the “Digital Innovations Start-up Competition”. This competition, organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), promotes innovative start-ups based on digital technologies.
Since its inception in 1997, the competition has awarded prizes to around 500 start-ups, which together have raised venture capital amounting to over 600 million euros. This year, prize money totaling 307,000 euros was awarded. amsight received prize money of 7,000 euros as well as an additional coaching budget.
The software developed by amsight enables a comprehensive digital twin of the AM process chain and offers advanced data analysis functions that allow holistic optimization of costs, quality and resource efficiency.
The CEO of the company, Dr.-Ing. Tim Wischeropp, states: “We are thrilled to be recognized among such a competitive field of digital innovators”.
The award ceremony took place on April 22 in Berlin, where the amsight team had the opportunity to exchange ideas with other start-ups and make valuable new contacts. The event also featured speed dating sessions with potential investors, which opened up further opportunities for the young company.
The recognition from the competition underlines the importance of the advanced technological approaches that amsight is pursuing in additive manufacturing. This award will certainly support the company in its further development and expansion.
