Prima Additive presents Multiprocess Robotic Cell IANUS at Automatica

Prima Additive, a company of the Prima Industrie Group, is presenting its IANUS Cell at Automatica in Munich. This is on display at the Siemens booth (Hall B6, Booth 302). IANUS is a multi-process robotic cell whose potential is fully exploited by Siemens technology.

The IANUS Cell easily integrates with other machines and takes advantage of Siemens’ digital MindSphere ecosystem. The cell is configured for laser welding and can also be adapted for various other processes, such as direct energy deposition or laser hardening.

The flexibility of the IANUS Cell is also demonstrated by its ability to run two processes simultaneously and integrate different laser sources. This allows different metal alloys to be processed efficiently, enabling advanced multi-material applications.

Prima Additive demonstrates its ambition to gain a stronger foothold in the advanced laser solutions market through the versatile IANUS Cell. Siemens’ Create MyVirtual Machine software helps create a digital twin of the machine to facilitate development and optimization phases and speed time to market.

The Prima Additive team will be available to visitors at the Siemens booth at Automatica in Munich from June 27 to 30.
