SHINING 3D announces FreeScan Combo

SHINING 3D, a world leader in 3D digitizing and 3D inspection, is expanding its FreeScan UE series of 3D scanners with the FreeScan Combo. This offers a powerful solution for quality assurance, metrology and other fields.

The FreeScan Combo combines the metrological accuracy, fine scanning and high precision of the FreeScan series in a lighter and more compact device. It features 26+7+1 blue laser lines and an infrared scanning mode. Its speed, versatility and accuracy make it ideal for various scanning scenarios such as inspection, reverse engineering and other applications.

The special features of the FreeScan Combo are:

  • Scan speed: It scans at 1,860,000 points per second in laser scan mode and 2,250,000 points per second in infrared mode. Its high accuracy of 0.02 mm according to VDI-VDE 2634-2 ensures precise results.
  • Scanner size: Weighing 620 g, the FreeScan Combo is compact and ergonomically designed at 193 mm × 63 mm × 53 mm. This makes it not only easy to use, but also versatile.
  • Versatility: The different scanning modes include 26 laser lines for large area scanning, 7 parallel laser lines for fine details, 1 single laser line for narrow areas and an infrared mode for scanning without marking points.
  • Intuitive and free scanning software: The FreeScan Combo’s user-friendly software enables easy workflow and efficient import of scan data into popular 3D inspection and design software.
