Melissa Ng Shows The 3D Printed Future Of Cosplay

Designer Melissa Ng was so inspired by the work of actress Felicia Day and her book “You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)”, that she wrote her an emotional email.

Melissa´s inspiration led her to designperfectionism_headerthese amazing detailed masks which are shown in the image to the right. In her email to Felicia Day she also offered to make an armour for the actress. Felicia was so moved by the note that she agreed. Now, over 200 hours of work later Felicia put on her personalised armour to show the fabulous design work.

The designs of Melissa were 3D printed by Shapeways and got painted and finished by the artist herself. For more information you should check out the long blogpost of Melissa.
