Weerg invests in HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 3D printer for industrial applications

The Italian online manufacturing service provider Weerg has upgraded its machine park for 3D printing with several HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 systems. The company is thus significantly increasing its production capacities and opening up new areas of application in industrial 3D printing.

Weerg is one of the leading providers of 3D printing using Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology in Italy. From March 2024, the company will have the largest installed base to date of the newly launched HP 5600 3D printers, which the company says can produce thousands of parts in just 48 hours – at a significantly lower cost than conventional processes.

The HP Multi Jet Fusion 5600 solution enables Weerg to increase production capacity by 30 percent and optimize applications for flexible, high-volume manufacturing. At the same time, flatness, strength and material homogeneity can be improved and product quality enhanced without increasing costs.

In addition to the classic field of application of prototype production, Weerg is also opening up opportunities for demand-oriented production with the new 3D printers. This enables customers to reduce stock levels and avoid warehousing costs and risks due to surpluses.
