AM Network MGA presents Working Group for Defense Sector

MGA is a network that brings together companies involved in additive manufacturing. Now the network announced the Defense Working Group for additive manufacturing in the defense sector.

Additive manufacturing (AM) is opening transformative opportunities for the defense sector by revolutionizing the design, production and maintenance of critical components. Leveraging AM can increase defense readiness, reduce costs, improve supply chain resilience, and enable rapid prototyping and production of critical defense systems.

To best apply AM in this challenging sector, the MGA Defense Working Group is being created. This group gathers experts and professionals from defense industry, academia and government agencies.

The goal is to create an active ecosystem through regular meetings, workshops, and joint projects that promote idea exchange, best practices, and cutting-edge research. A particular focus is on defense applications.

On September 28, the kick-off event will start in Berlin, where all interested participants, be they researchers, engineers, defense experts or employees of NATO government agencies, are invited to participate and contribute their expertise.
