AM Solutions and Shapeways strengthen Partnership for 3D Printing Post Processing

AM Solutions – 3D post processing technology and Shapeways Inc., a leading expert in digital manufacturing and 3D printing, have further strengthened their collaboration through the beta partner program for AM Solutions’ C2 Liquid Color Smoothing technology. This move follows Shapeways’ previous investment in AM Solutions’ S1 and S2 technologies and their participation in the beta program for the S2 post-processing solution.

The C2 technology from AM Solutions revolutionizes the chemical smoothing of 3D-printed parts. The innovative 2-in-1 Liquid Color Smoothing process allows parts to be smoothed and colored in a single pass. This simplifies the process considerably, as both functions are performed by a single machine. The technology not only reduces the overall investment costs, but also the costs per finished part. Compared to other solutions, immersion smoothing technology shortens the processing time and the specially developed process media are more environmentally friendly.
