Chinese company BLT reported a 58 percent increase in 3D printing revenue in the first half of 2023. BLT reported that revenue increased to the equivalent of $60 million. Net profit was $2.4 million.
Key customer industries include aerospace and industrial machinery. BLT supplies Airbus, among others, and has been involved in missile tests. The company is currently investing heavily in capacity expansion.
Two new BLT sites have already been opened in China this year. The company’s headquarters are to be expanded by 2025. BLT also launched new 3D printer models with up to 20 lasers.
According to BLT, the demand for metal 3D printing is growing tremendously worldwide. As one of the leading suppliers in China, the company aims to benefit from this trend. The expansion is intended to further establish BLT with major customers such as Airbus.
