Elite Mold and Engineering relies on AMFG Additive Manufacturing Software

Elite Mold and Engineering, a Detroit-based company, has selected AMFG‘s MES software to solidify its entry and expansion in the additive manufacturing space.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Metro Detroit, Elite has a mold making and engineering arm and places an emphasis on plastic products. This reflects their constant pursuit of growth and innovation. A testament to this commitment is their recent investment in a Carbon M2 3D printer in November 2022, which ideally complements their existing ten injection molding machines, two EDM machines and ten CNC machines.

CEO Paul Patrash explains why AMFG were the only option for Elite moving forward: “We looked at several online quoting platforms, AMFG checked all the boxes for what we needed to support our growing customer base in the 3D additive market. The ease of onboarding and the back end support was critical to our decision to use AMFG as our provider”.

A standout feature of AMFG’s software is its world-class order management portal, which provides a fully automated quoting solution. Customers can upload their CAD files, select materials and other parameters, and receive a quote instantly. This automation not only simplifies the ordering process, but also provides instant pricing and ordering options.

Elite Mold has seamlessly integrated the quoting system into their website and benefits from AMFG’s customized solutions. This move into the 3D printing market has been swift. After purchasing the Carbon M2 printer, employees were trained in December and additive manufacturing became part of the company as early as January.

AMFG’s Head of Implementation Consulting, Rohan Graham, believes the combination of AMFG’s expertise and that of Elite is sure to be a success: “Allowing Elite to take a further step into the Additive Manufacturing space, through the use of our software, is proof that the product not only streamlines processes but fuels and promotes progress.”

In conclusion, the partnership between Elite and AMFG impressively demonstrates how hardware and software together can significantly accelerate the market process and how indispensable they are in today’s manufacturing sector.
