Eplus3D presented Large-Scale Multilaser Metal AM Solutions at Formnext 2023

Eplus3D, an innovator in metal-based 3D printing, showcased impressive developments and partnerships at Formnext 2023 in Frankfurt, the world’s leading trade fair for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing. The show provided an excellent opportunity to make new contacts and maintain existing ones, and was the scene of important announcements from Eplus3D.

A particular highlight of this year’s show was the increased interest in the 1m+ systems from the European market. This indicates a strong trend that emphasizes automation, productivity and speed of the 3D printing process – factors that ultimately affect manufacturing costs and represent an important step in the widespread implementation of metal powder bed fusion (MPBF) in various industries.

Eplus3D announced two new models for its MPBF range: the EP-M825 for medium to large frames and the EP-M1550, the largest machine with an optional configuration of up to 25 lasers. These new systems reflect the realization that customer requirements are diverse and not all applications can be served by a single machine size.

Two new strategic partnerships were announced at the trade fair. The first with Fuchshofer Advanced Manufacturing FAM, which will receive the EP-M650 large-format multi-laser system in spring 2024. The second partnership with IGO3D GmbH combines Eplus3D’s expertise in metal 3D printing with IGO3D’s innovative solutions and extensive industry knowledge.

At Formnext 2023, Eplus3D showcased various metal parts produced with their advanced AM systems. Particularly eye-catching was an aero part over 1 meter long, printed with the EP-M1250. These exhibits highlighted the ability of Eplus3D printers to create high-quality, complex components in industries such as aerospace, automotive, tooling, medical, energy and oil & gas.

Eplus3D left a lasting impression with its innovative booth design and creativity. The company continues its journey to redefine the landscape of metal printing and drive the additive industry forward. The future promises more innovation as Eplus3D continues to pave the way to a world without borders for additive manufacturing.
