Formfutura Releases EasyWood Ebony and Olive Filament

Amsterdam-based 3D printing material developer and manufacturer, Formfutura, has just released two new filaments to complement their EasyWood series.

Additionally to EasyWood Coconut, EasyWood Ebony and EasyWood are now available through their webshop. All three types of filament feel, look and smell like real wood according to the manufacturer. Due to its low shrinkage factor, the material is nearly warp-free and therefore will not deform after cooling. It can also be printed without the need of a heated print bed.

EasyWood filament is made up of at least 40% of grinded wood particles in combination with easy-to-print binding polymers, also used for the EasyFil filaments.

3D printed objects can be post-processed by using a piece of fine grit sandpaper. This will highlight the relief or rough surfaces with different shades.

The 0.5 kg spool is available for € 32,95 and comes in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm diameters.
