HZG Group appoints Christian Steinhage as Managing Director of the private research center naddcon

In the first two years, naddcon was equipped with extensive machinery and state-of-the-art software. In addition, highly qualified talents and a wide range of customer orders were acquired and the product portfolio was gradually expanded.

Christian Steinhage was appointed Managing Director of naddcon for the company’s subsequent growth phase. The experienced manager and graduate engineer in precision engineering and mechatronics took up the post in November 2023 and will be responsible for the business of the private research, development and application center in Lichtenfels. Kerstin and Frank Carsten Herzog will continue to oversee the strategic development as managing partners.

Christian Steinhage says: “Our goal is to build naddcon into the leading private research, development and application center in the field of additive manufacturing in Germany. Our customers benefit from our application-oriented focus, with which we not only develop customized product innovations, but also integrate them into existing production in a timely manner.”

Frank Carsten Herzog says: “naddcon’s portfolio and tasks have recently grown considerably within the HZG Group. With Christian Steinhage, we have now been able to recruit someone for the new position of Managing Director who not only has excellent technical expertise, but also experience in building and managing larger teams and a large industry network.”

Before taking up his role as Managing Director at naddcon, Christian Steinhage managed a business unit and an engineering department with around 50 employees. At Hilite, a manufacturer of motor and transmission applications, he had global responsibility for sales and project management. During this time, he also completed the part-time Executive MBA Business Management course.
