Belgium-based specialist for medical 3D printing and software solutions, Materialise, has signed a 5 year partnership agreement with Japan Medical Dynamic Marketing Inc. for their 3D printed guide system used in hip replacements.
Jeroen Dille, Director of Materialise’s Clinical Unit, states: “We are excited to make our technology available to even more patients in Japan through our partner Japan MDM. Japanese surgeons working with Japan MDM’s implants will be able to plan their surgeries in 3D and use 3D printed patient-specific guides.”
Japan Medical Dynamic Marketing is one of the leading companies in the Japanese orthopaedic industry, supporting around 3,100 hospitals by developing, manufacturing and selling medical devices.
Mr. Okawa President of Japan MDM said: “We are very pleased to have the technology of Materialise NV available for Japanese patients and surgeons, and expect this technology will help Japanese surgeons to facilitate more appropriate Patient Matched surgeries to Japanese patients with 3D Printed Patient-Specific guides.”
