The French company Aubert & Duval is a global supplier of metallurgical solutions. Founded in 1907, the company is active in industries such as aerospace, energy, tooling, and land and sea transport. With the new “Stellar” brand, the company aims to strengthen its activities in the 3D printing market.

The new Stellar brand embodies all of Aubert & Duval’s ambitions in the field of additive manufacturing, boosting its offer in a demanding and fastgrowing market, with the rise of space applications and the challenges of decarbonization. The new range of high temperature alloys Stellar ABD900AM, Stellar MHA3300, Stellar AD730 represents a unique solution to enable the space, aeronautics and energy industries to develop new generations of turbines offering a better energy and environmental performance. Aubert & Duval is also moving to a new stage of its growth with a relocation project of its metal powder production factory during the summer 2023. The new industrial site is to be located in Oiartzun, Spain, 6 km away from the current factory in Irun. This will firstly enable a 50% capacity increase.

With this new industrial base, Aubert & Duval plans to increase its metal powder production by developing its strengths: a focus on customer satisfaction combined with a strong know how to develop and produce innovative and customized alloys for additive manufacturing.

“These two announcements reflect our belief in the growth potential of the metal additive manufacturing market explains Eric Caridroit, President of Aubert & Duval Irun.

Adeline RIOU, Global Sales Manager for metal powders at Aubert & Duval, adds: Through the combination of freedom of design and innovative materials, this technology offers great opportunities for weight reduction and high temperature performance. This value proposition is at the heart of our new Stellar brand”.
