3DPRINTUK expands and adds 3D printing capacity

3DPRINTUK, a service provider of the polymer powder bed fusion (PBF) 3D printing processes for manufacturing applications, is excited to announce that the company is continuing on its growth trajectory into 2023. 3DPRINTUK closed out 2022 with news of its ISO 9001 accreditation — a major milestone for the company. As 2023 gets underway, however, the company is continuing its pattern of year-on-year growth and expansion according to its planned internal investment strategy.

For January, this expansion has kicked off with adding new machines to the 3D printer portfolio to increase capacity and manage lead times for its clients. This month, 3DPRINTUK has added a third HP MultiJet Fusion (MJF) machine to increase capacity with this technology by 50%. In addition, the company has also invested in a further EOS Formiga Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) machine, which brings the total EOS SLS machine count at the London facility to 13.

Since it first launched its service in 2011 with a single EOS machine, 3DPRINTUK has gone from strength to strength by sticking to its core strengths and developing unprecedented expertise with polymer PBF processes. Today the company offers extensive manufacturing capability and capacity to support a wide range of key applications across many industrial sectors as a low volume production partner. In this way, 3DPRINTUK provides its clients with real cost and time efficiencies compared with more traditional manufacturing methods for low volume batch production. As one of its core competencies, 3DPRINTUK is able to offer a reliable and flexible manufacturing service that bridges the huge gap that exists between prototyping and injection moulding in a highly efficient way, overcoming the limitations that alternative processes such as CNC machining and vacuum casting present.

Managing Director, Nick Allen, said: “It really is so gratifying that 3DPRINTUK continues to grow organically year on year. We have huge expansion plans for 2023 – these new machines are just the beginning, and are a testament to the dedication of the entire 3DPRINTUK team and the commitment of our customers with existing and new applications. There is much more to come in the near future, including new technologies, new finishes and new materials — so watch this space!”
